Her birth date was 29 March 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle was her birth name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). She is Mexican-American by heritage but has American nationality. She has always been a fan of sports. Gerina first began playing golf at the age of 15. Gerina graduated from high school through Goddard High School. When she was in high school, she took home at the New Mexico state golf tournament. She was a volleyball player and was also a participant in state tournaments. 2003, she began her studies at the University of Texas. She was the only winner of all competitions she participated in during her final years. During her undergrad career, she won an award for Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year award and the UTEP Female athlete of the year.
