Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. She is an American stage and film actress. The most well-known role she has played is in the role of Teri her passionate lawyer Teri Jospehson on the Showtime TV series Soul Food. Nikki Kodjoe became her stage name following her marriage. She was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland she showed an interest in acting from childhood and received a Best Actress award in the Maryland high school competition. The 92 productions she performed were praised by Canadian reviewers. The conservatory at Stratford takes eight people with four females, and a handful of other people for a 20 weeks of crash courses. The role was secured for Contractor during the upcoming play She was also offered Hermia's role for the role of Hermia A Midsummer Night's Dream.
