Wilsons worldwide fame was elevated in 2014 after she took on the role of Alison Lockhart. A troubled young woman, Alison Lockhart has a dark background and is in love with Noah Solloway. Wilson, along with Mauratierney and Joshua Jackson won a Golden Globe for Best Actress for a Television Series-Drama in the year 2015. Wilson stated to British Vogue, "I loved getting to portray the character that has each side of this story." Noah sees Alison as this confident, reckless and sexy model of herself. And in 2017, played the cryptic PT Stella, in the sci-fi romcom How to Talk to Girls at Parties. In addition to adding more genre of horror to her film credits she is slated to star in the British adaptation to film of The Little Stranger a supernatural thriller that is based upon the book by writer Sarah Waters. Wilson will be executive producing The film.
